A recent survey conducted in Monaco reveals a decline in traditional substance use among high school students but indicates an alarming increase in e-cigarette consumption. The survey, called ESPAD 2024 (European School Survey Project on Alcohol and Other Drugs), was conducted in April 2024 and covered 1,300 students. Despite the decline in traditional substance use, the rise in e-cigarette consumption raises concerns about the health and well-being of Monaco’s youth. These findings highlight the need for further research and targeted interventions to address the growing use of e-cigarettes among young people. It is crucial to educate and raise awareness about the potential risks and consequences associated with e-cigarette use to safeguard the health of Monaco’s youth.
