The Dante Alighieri Committee of Monaco is celebrating the 100th anniversary of Giacomo Puccini’s death with a special event on November 14th at the Théâtre des Variétés. The event, titled “Visse d’Arte: Dialoghi Pucciniani,” will feature renowned artists Fabio Armiliato, Amarilli Nizza, Roberto Prosseda, and Corrado Veneziano. Under the High Patronage of H.S.H. the Princess of Hannover, with the Patronage of the Italian Embassy in Monaco and the National Committee for Puccini Celebrations, the conference will delve into the operatic works of one of the greatest Italian composers in history, including Manon Lescaut, Tosca, Madama Butterfly, Turandot, and other masterpieces. Accompanying the musical conference will be an exhibition of artworks by Corrado Veneziano, showcasing a painterly reinterpretation of the Puccinian universe. Veneziano’s works convey a strong figurative tension that complements the musical sophistication of Puccini’s compositions. The event aims to highlight Puccini’s enduring influence on Italian art and culture.
