On June 26, 2024, the Embassy of the Principality of Monaco in France celebrated the 19th anniversary of the accession of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco with a reception in Paris. The event was attended by numerous guests, including ministers, senior officials, and representatives from the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic, as well as ambassadors from the international community, representatives from international organizations, and notable figures from civil society.
During the event, Ambassador Valérie Bruell-Melchior highlighted the strong ties between Monaco and France. She also emphasized Prince Albert II’s unwavering commitment to aligning Monaco with the principles of the United Nations Charter. In light of the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, she mentioned the recent arrival of the Olympic Flame in Monaco on June 18, reaffirming the importance of sport in Monaco’s identity and its dedication to the values it represents. She concluded by addressing environmental issues, particularly mentioning the upcoming 3rd High-Level Conference on the Oceans, which will take place in Nice in 2025.
