The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) of the United States of America and the Direction de la Sûreté publique of Monaco have signed a protocol agreement on June 17, 2024. The agreement aims to facilitate formal cooperation and the exchange of information regarding the security of both countries. Jarrad Smith, Legal Attaché of the FBI at the US Embassy in Paris, stated that the agreement will enhance cooperation between the US and Monaco in reducing security threats posed by criminal organizations and hostile state actors. Richard Marangoni, General Controller of the Direction de la Sûreté Publique of Monaco, emphasized the importance of intelligence sharing for a cosmopolitan country like Monaco in the face of protean international threats. Monaco and the US have a longstanding history of consular exchanges and a shared commitment to international cooperation.
