Monaco has reaffirmed its support for the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea and its commitment to protecting the ocean, combating climate change, and promoting science. As the first European country to ratify the Agreement on the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Marine Biodiversity, Monaco has demonstrated its dedication to adequately protecting the oceans. In addition, Monaco will host the Blue Economy and Finance Forum in June 2025, preceding the 3rd United Nations Conference on the implementation of the sustainable development goal for oceans. Overall, Monaco remains devoted to the preservation and sustainable management of ocean resources.
