Anthéa Sogno, an exceptional actress and director, is the artistic director of the Théâtre des Muses in Monaco. Her contagious enthusiasm and devotion to theater make her stand out. She discovered her passion for theater at 18 and trained at the Cours Florent in Paris. She quickly realized she had to take matters into her own hands and create her own shows. Anthéa’s talent was recognized by an agent who predicted she would become a theater director one day.
After spending twenty years in Paris, she returned to Monaco to offer her daughter the same opportunities she had. With the help of her family, she transformed an old bread oven into the Théâtre des Muses. It took three years to develop the project successfully. The theater has now been operating for twelve years, offering a diverse and demanding program. Anthéa is passionate about promoting talented artists and presenting plays that touch the heart and mind.
She is dedicated to creating a close connection with the audience and the actors, organizing discussions and meetings after the shows. Anthéa strives to make theater accessible to all and has partnered with associations to offer performances in Italian and English. She also values theater education for young people and has collaborated with the National Education system for ten years.
The Prince of Monaco praised the theater during its inauguration, and Anthéa cherishes his visits. The Théâtre des Muses is a unique and welcoming place, offering a memorable theater experience with its intimate setting.
