Histoire complète :
Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco, accompanied by their children Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, inaugurated the new fire and rescue boat for the Monaco Fire Department on May 4, 2024. The ceremony took place in the presence of high authorities of the Principality. The boat, named “Prince Jacques” as per the Prince’s wish, will provide the Fire Department with a more efficient and high-performing vessel. The replacement came after a 5-year study based on the previous boat’s 15 years of service. Some notable features of the “Prince Jacques” are a propulsion system of 1100 horsepower, a gyroscopic stabilization system to counteract roll, a firefighting capacity of 5000 liters per minute, a closed cabin to protect personnel and transported victims, and advanced onboard electronics including a thermal vision camera, electronic anchor, ship identification system, radar, and navigation system. The boat entered its home port at the Yacht Club of Monaco after passing under the “Grandes Eaux” in a traditional maritime ceremony.
