Histoire complète :
On Sunday, January 26, the Principality of Monaco celebrated the traditional Sainte-Dévote with the participation of the Prince Albert II, Princess Charlène, and the Princely Twins Jacques and Gabriella. The celebrations began in the morning with the Monégasque Traditional Mass at the Sainte-Dévote Church. In the early evening, the Relics of Sainte-Dévote arrived by sea, accompanied by a dove from the Rainier III Animal Garden. The Relics were then carried by members of the clergy in a procession to the parvis of the Sainte-Dévote Church, where the Salute of the Most Holy Sacrament was celebrated. After the Salute, Prince Albert II, Princess Charlène, and the Princely Twins Jacques and Gabriella, along with the guests, went to the Albert I Quay to set fire to the traditional Sainte-Dévote boat. The event was attended by the mayor of Monaco, Georges Marsan, and delegations from Monaco’s twin cities Lucciana, Ostende, and Dolceacqua. The Princely Family stayed for a long time admiring the spectacle, while the Monaco Firefighters controlled the fire. The Family left to the applause and smiles of the numerous spectators.
