Histoire complète :
A man from Comoros, residing in Beausoleil, was tried by the Monaco court on January 21, 2025. The incident dates back to July 21, 2024, when he was stopped by the Monégasque authorities near the train station. During the inspection, he presented a work permit and other photo-less documents. Upon request, he showed an ID card on his mobile phone. Although the photo matched his physical appearance, the other information did not. It became clear that he was using a fake identity. This individual was seeking employment in Monaco while facing administrative complications in France. He resorted to using counterfeit documents to secure employment in the Principality. The police also found a phone number and a bank card belonging to his cousin. He claimed not to remember having them on him and stated that the card was deactivated. On the day of the hearing, the man was absent and had no legal representation. The court noted his lack of previous criminal record in both France and Monaco. The prosecutor requested a suspended sentence of €2,000 and the confiscation of the fraudulent documents. After deliberation, the court found the man guilty and sentenced him to a suspended fine of €1,000. The fraudulent documents and CV will also be confiscated.
