Histoire complète :
The Monaco Town Hall has selected four initiatives proposed by students from Charles III College as part of the 7th edition of the Junior Municipal Project (PCJ). The three 9th graders, Gioia Caporale, Lou Nardi, and Wassim Meddah, confidently presented their innovative ideas to the members of the Municipal Council during a public session. The students aimed to propose ambitious and new projects for the youth of Monaco, and their four suggestions generated significant enthusiasm. One of the proposals, by Giorgia Caporale, suggested organizing a “Junior Fashion Week” at the Espace Léo-Ferré, featuring a fashion show organized by and for teenagers between the ages of 13 and 17 who attend school in Monaco. The objective of this project is to showcase local creations. Another proposal, by Wassim Meddah, advocated for the creation of a 30×20 meter 5-a-side football pitch. Lou Nardi, on the other hand, highlighted two concepts: a “bedroom clearance,” allowing young people to sell items from their bedrooms with the proceeds going to a Monegasque association, and a project called “A Sqadra,” which means “the team” in the Monégasque language. “A Sqadra” involves a team of volunteers engaged in various missions, such as beach cleaning or assisting the elderly. The mayor of Monaco, Georges Marsan, along with Chloe Boscagli-Leclercq, Deputy Mayor for Youth, and their teacher Sylvie Leporati, supported the students as they convinced the council members, who unanimously voted in favor of adopting all four projects. This municipal initiative, launched in 2012, has already involved 120 middle school students, resulting in events like the Splash Party and the Junior Street Art Challenge. Each year, these students have the unique opportunity to contribute to the local community and bring their original ideas to life for the people of Monaco.
