The Monaco Cultural Affairs Department recently held a meeting with the new resident artists at the Quai Workshops. Among these artists is Laëtitia KY, an Ivorian feminist artist who has become known for her work in women’s emancipation in Côte d’Ivoire. Through her hair sculptures and paintings, she sheds light on the social and cultural issues faced by women in her country.
The Quai Workshops will also benefit from the presence of Abhijit Pathak, an Indian painter. Pathak’s work combines abstraction and representation of cultural heritage, often expressed through large works that intertwine history and modernity.
In addition, four young talents from the Bosio Pavilion, the Monaco Higher School of Fine Arts, will share a workshop. Maria Magdalena David, Ilona Rougemond, Ahmad Reshad, and Gabriel-Noé Rosticher actively collaborate on scenographic projects, particularly in preparation for the 2025 World Expo in Osaka.
This initiative aims to foster exchange and collaboration between different artists, creating synergies between local and international artists. It seeks to develop artistic creations and strengthen the cultural impact of the Principality of Monaco.
