The Italian Polar Missions will be the focus of the Round Table organized by the Dante Alighieri Association of Monaco at the Oceanographic Museum on Thursday, November 21st at 5 PM. The discussion will not only cover the Italian Polar Missions but also delve into the organization, timing, and purpose behind them. The Arctic and the Antarctic have distinct characteristics and serve as indicators of climate change. Expert speakers including Carlo Barbante, Director of the Institute of Polar Sciences – CNR and Professor at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, and Nathalie Metzler, Deputy Director of the French Polar Institute, will address the challenges faced by researchers and the future decisions to be made. The event, held under the High Patronage of H.S.H. the Princess of Hanover and with the Patronage of the Embassy of Italy in the Principality of Monaco, in collaboration with the Oceanographic Institute Prince Albert I Foundation and with the support of the Monegasque Government, will take place at the Oceanographic Museum’s Conference Hall at 5 PM. Admission is free.
