Histoire complète :
Monaco’s Government is launching its first national lung cancer screening campaign as part of the “Month without Tobacco” initiative. The campaign, which targets social insurance beneficiaries over the age of 50, aims to detect lung cancer at an early stage for more effective treatment and improved chances of recovery. In addition to raising awareness about the risks associated with smoking, the voluntary screening campaign encourages the public to quit smoking and monitor their health regularly. The data collected during the campaign will also contribute to epidemiological research on lung cancer in Monaco’s population and inform prevention and treatment policies. Monaco’s Government is strongly committed to promoting public health and addressing the devastating impact of lung cancer. To facilitate participation, all social insurance beneficiaries over the age of 50 will receive a letter inviting them to undergo a free lung scan. Furthermore, a tobacco consultation service provided by the Directorate of Health Action is available at the Princess Grace Hospital Center, offering free support and advice to those seeking to quit smoking.
