Histoire complète :
Monaco’s Society for the Protection of Animals (SPA) has recently opened a new shelter in Peille. The Prince of Monaco, Albert II, and Princess Charlène attended the inauguration. The shelter is currently offering several animals for adoption, all of whom are looking for new families to start a new life with.
One such animal is Meeko, a 12-year-old Siberian Husky. The SPA described Meeko as initially reserved but playful and affectionate once he gains trust. Meeko previously lived with a musher and has only known a life in that context. He has also spent a lot of time in the cold, resulting in chapped ears that can be treated with ointment.
Lucie, a 2-year-old mixed breed Cane Corso, is another resident waiting to leave the shelter. Lucie has been rescued from abuse twice. The SPA mentioned that she carries a lot of emotions and may appear neutral at first. However, she becomes close to humans once she is familiar with them. The SPA assured potential adopters that Lucie is stable and has never shown any signs of aggression at the shelter.
In addition to dogs, there are also a variety of kittens available for adoption. Cracotte and Biscotte, both one-and-a-half-month-old Scottish Fold crosses, must be adopted together as they are inseparable and complementary. Cracotte is described as curious and playful, while Biscotte is more reserved but relaxes quickly when she feels safe. Other available animals include Bagherra, Shadow, Asia, and many more.
If you’re interested in adopting one of these animals, you can find more information on the SPA de Monaco’s Facebook page.
