The Yacht Club de Monaco is the subject of a new book by Assouline, highlighting its prestigious status and significance in the Principality. Founded in 1953 by Prince Rainier III, and currently presided over by Prince Albert II, the club has 2,500 members who are all passionate about the sea. The book, titled “Yacht Club de Monaco” and written by renowned nautical journalist Jill Bobrow, takes readers on a journey through anecdotes, unusual stories, and intimate portraits. It features a rich collection of over 140 illustrations that showcase both recent and historical images related to the Yacht Club de Monaco. Published by Assouline in July 2024, with an introduction by Prince Albert II, the 192-page book celebrates the YCM’s contributions in promoting Monaco as a premier destination and its role as a catalyst for all nautical activities in the Principality.
