Histoire complète :
AS Monaco suffered a close defeat (0-1) against Servette Genève in their opening preparatory match. The game, observed by President Dmitri Rybolovlev and General Director Thiago Scuro at the Performance Center, allowed coach Adi Hütter to assess a wide range of players. The match began with a mixed team combining regular starters and young prospects from the academy. Despite good intensity and a few chances in the first half, Monaco failed to find the net against Servette Genève, the recent winners of the Swiss Cup.
At halftime, the score remained 0-0. Hütter took the opportunity to make extensive substitutions, providing playing time to a large portion of the squad, including several talented youngsters from the Elite Group. The intensive preparation in recent weeks was evident, especially among the young players who struggled to create scoring opportunities against a well-organized Servette team. The only goal of the match was scored by Jérémy Guillemenot, securing a narrow victory for Servette.
Despite the defeat, the friendly match provided valuable insights for the technical staff to evaluate the players’ fitness and performance under match conditions. Monaco will now focus on another week of training, culminating in a second friendly match against Cercle Bruges on July 13th. Coach Adi Hütter will use this opportunity to refine his tactical choices and continue preparing the team for the upcoming season and, of course, the Champions League. Meanwhile, General Director Thiago Scuro is preparing for the transfer market, still searching for a striker to provide more options for Hütter. However, he emphasized that they already have talented players in that role and expressed satisfaction with their recent performances in international competitions.
