Histoire complète :
The marine-inspired ceramic decorations by artist Roger Capron were inaugurated at the Le Saline Gallery in Monaco. The restored artwork, originally created in 1968, consists of terracotta panels representing marine life. Designed for the facades of the buildings under the Promenade du Larvotto, the panels were recently recovered and restored during the Larvotto renovation project. The restoration was carried out under the supervision of the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco and the Direction des Affaires Culturelles. Roger Capron, born in 1922, was known for revitalizing ceramics in the 1950s and 1960s. He opened a ceramics factory in Vallauris, where he combined artistic techniques with industrial processes. Capron also created architectural ceramic works for the Cannes ferry terminal and the Byblos in Saint-Tropez. His creations have received numerous awards, including the Gold Medal at the X Triennale di Milano in 1954. Princess of Hanover, along with various officials, inaugurated the restored artwork at the gallery.
