Full Story:
The Embassy of Monaco in Italy recently held its annual consular meeting in Rome, bringing together the Consuls of Monaco in Italy and other countries under the Ambassador’s jurisdiction. This meeting serves as an opportunity to assess past actions and plan for future initiatives that will enhance the international promotion and reputation of the Principality. One of the highlights mentioned is the visits of H.S.H. Prince Albert II to Italy, which play a significant role in strengthening the ties between Monaco and its neighboring country. The Prince will continue his visits to Italian municipalities that are part of the Grimaldi Historic Sites of Monaco network, celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. Various initiatives are planned with the mayors of these municipalities and the President of the Italian association “Siti Storici Grimaldi di Monaco”. The promotion of Monaco’s attractiveness and a special operation with Monaco Private Label will also be a focus. The Principality will continue its active involvement in promoting the French language in Italy through the Ambassador’s role in the Executive Committee of the Group of Francophone Ambassadors. This group organizes initiatives such as the Rome Francophone Film Festival to support multilingualism and cultural diversity. The Ambassador also highlighted her accreditations in six countries under the Ambassador’s jurisdiction and expressed the Embassy’s commitment to fostering economic and cultural relations with these nations. The meeting concluded with a friendly dinner at the Residence, attended by Ambassador Philippe Orengo, Monaco’s Ambassador to the Holy See.
