A detachment of 20 musicians from the “Ceremonial Band,” the official orchestra of the U.S. 6th Fleet based in Naples, performed a 12-minute serenade on the Palace Square in Monaco on Monday, September 16th, 2024, as part of the annual celebrations in honor of Admiral de Grasse. His Serene Highness the Sovereign Prince honored the performance, accompanied by Her Excellency Mrs. Manuela Ruosi, the new Ambassador of Italy to Monaco, who had presented her Letters of Credence to the Sovereign earlier in the morning. The “Ceremonial Band,” led by Ensign Adele Demi, is the reference musical ensemble for official ceremonies serving the Commander of U.S. Naval Forces for Europe and Africa. The band plays a vital role in strengthening ties with European and African partners, performing at official ceremonies, commemorations, parades, tattoos, and other public events. Their repertoire includes ceremonial music, military marches, and popular music pieces.
