On December 2, 2024, a ceremony was held for the presentation of decorations in the Order of Merit of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta in Monaco. During the event, H.E. Mr. Alberto di LUCA, Ambassador of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta to Monaco, presented the Pro Merito Melitensi Cross with Plaque to Mrs. Isabelle BERRO-AMADEÏ, Government Counsellor-Minister of External Relations and Cooperation. He also presented the Pro Merito Melitensi Cross with Crown to Mrs. Isabelle ROSABRUNETTO, Director General of the Department of External Relations and Cooperation, and Mrs. Marie-Catherine CARUSO-RAVERA, Director of Diplomatic and Consular Relations. In her speech, Mrs. BERRO-AMADEÏ emphasized the strengthening of ties between Monaco and the Order of Malta, which have been established since the official opening of relations in 1957 and elevated to diplomatic rank in 2007. Other notable attendees included Mr. Christophe STEINER, Cabinet Director of H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince, H.E. Mr. Jean d’HAUSSONVILLE, Ambassador of France to Monaco, Mr. Marc LECOURT, President of the Association of Honorary Consuls of Monaco and Honorary General Consul of Slovenia in Monaco, and Mr. Jean KERWAT, President of the Order of Malta Association in Monaco and Honorary Consul of Croatia in Monaco. The Order of Merit of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, established in 1920, aims to reward merits related to activities that have honored and brought prestige to the Order. These appointments serve to acknowledge the cooperation between the Princely Government and the Sovereign Military Order of Malta.
