The director of the Princesse Grace Theater in Monaco, Françoise Gamerdinger, has presented the upcoming season, which will feature 27 shows, including three off-site performances at the Grimaldi Forum. Two shows are scheduled with multiple dates, including “Le Cercle des poètes disparus” (The Dead Poets Society), which was a success in Paris, and “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea”, a spectacle produced by the Comédie Française that has received numerous awards for its aesthetic and dreamlike universe.
The new season will open on October 3 at 8 pm with a performance by the troupe, featuring “Dom Juan,” the legendary play by Molière written in 1665 and revisited in the 18th century by Macha Makeïeff. The TPG will continue to invite acclaimed actors such as Lorànt Deutsch, Michel Boujenah, Sophie Marceau, François Berléand, Stéphane Freiss, Richard Berry, Michel Fau, Yvan Attal, François Morel, Hugo Becker, Noémie Lvovsky, Stéphane de Groodt, Anne Consigny, among others.
The program will also offer a show for younger audiences titled “Chut! Une pomme” and more intimate performances for emerging artists, such as “La Vie en vrai,” created by Marie Fortuit around Anne Sylvestre’s musical work, bringing the artists of tomorrow into the spotlight. The TPG will continue to host workshops for the Rencontres Philosophiques throughout the year.
The bar in the foyer will offer the audience the opportunity to have a quick meal before the show, starting at 6 pm. Single tickets will be available for purchase starting Monday, September 2.
