Full Story:
The Princely Rose Garden, “Roserie Princesse Grace,” located in the Fontvieille Park in Monaco, recently celebrated its 40th anniversary. Despite recent rains, the roses in the garden are in full bloom, captivating visitors with their beauty and variety of colors and scents. Prince Albert II and Princess of Hanover, alongside Minister of State Pierre Dartout, visited the garden to commemorate the occasion. They were welcomed by Minister of Environment and Infrastructure Céline Caron-Dagioni and the director of DAU (Direction Amenagement Urbain) Thierry Francart during their visit.

The Rose Garden was established in 1982 in honor of the late Princess Grace, who had a deep passion for roses. Minister Caron-Dagioni described the garden as not only an important part of Monaco’s history but also an emotional heritage for the principality and its people. In celebration of this symbolic anniversary, a series of educational workshops for children will be held until mid-June, allowing them to explore the art of roses through their five senses.

The Rose Garden has undergone significant development since its inauguration in 1984. It is now larger, spanning 5,000 square meters, and boasts a wide variety of donated rose species. Prince Albert II and Princess of Hanover participated in gardening and tasting workshops, as well as admired a photographic exhibition chronicling the garden’s history during their visit to the public park, which is open daily and free of charge.
