Princess Stéphanie of Monaco, President of Fight Aids Monaco, met with Winnie Byanyima, Executive Director of the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS). During the meeting at the Fight AIDS headquarters, Princess Stéphanie received an honorary plaque from Winnie Byanyima in recognition of her commitment as an international goodwill ambassador for UNAIDS and her strong involvement as President of Fight Aids Monaco. Princess Stéphanie stated that even though Monaco is a small country, they can achieve great things and emphasized that Fight Aids Monaco is a place where everyone is treated with dignity and without judgment. Winnie Byanyima had the opportunity to learn more about the work carried out by Princess Stéphanie and her team, meeting with the association’s Secretary General, Treasurer, permanent staff, volunteers, and affiliates. The meeting concluded with the display of a quilt made by the association’s affiliates in honor of those who have died from AIDS.
