Full Story:
The Direction des Affaires Culturelles de Monaco has welcomed new artists to the Ateliers du Quai-Résidence Internationale d’Artistes. Among them is Laëtitia Ky, a designer who supports women’s empowerment in Ivory Coast through her hair sculptures and paintings. Abhijit Pathak, a painter, explores cultural heritage and historical narratives through abstract creations on a large scale. Four talented students from the Pavillon Bosio, Monaco’s School of Fine Arts, also share the studio and are working on scenic projects, particularly with the Pavillon Monaco in preparation for the 2025 World Expo in Osaka. Collaboration projects are encouraged throughout the residency to foster stimulating synergies between the hosted artists and the institutions of the Principality. The Ateliers du Quai offer residency to local and international artists for a period of six months to one year to develop their artistic projects.
