The city of Monaco celebrated the first anniversary of its twinning with Dolceacqua. To commemorate this lasting friendship, an official lunch was organized at the Monte-Carlo Country Club, attended by the President of the Club, Mélanie Antoinette De Massy, Mayor Georges Marsan, Mayor of Dolceacqua Fulvio Gazzola, Director of the Library and Archives of the Palais Princier Thomas Fouilleron, and numerous members of the Monaco and Dolceacqua town councils.
In his welcome speech, Mayor Georges Marsan of Monaco stated that the twinning is dynamic and well-established, with a commitment to keeping it active. The anniversary lunch provided an opportunity to review the highlights of the twinning year through a video produced by the Municipality of Dolceacqua.
2024 is an important year for twinning, marking 60 years of twinning between Monaco and Ostend, 15 years with Lucciana, and the first anniversary of the Monaco-Dolceacqua twinning on November 3rd.
