A delegation led by Isabelle Berro-Amadei, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Monaco, visited Burundi to meet with local partners and beneficiaries of projects supported by Monegasque cooperation. The visit aimed to highlight the work of Monegasque cooperation in the country and strengthen ties with Burundian authorities. Before the visit, Minister Berro-Amadei signed a cooperation framework agreement with her Burundian counterpart to deepen the friendship and cooperation between Monaco and Burundi. This visit also provided an opportunity to renew the partnership between Monaco and the World Food Programme, which is implementing the National School Feeding Programme in Burundi. The projects supported by the Monaco government in Burundi cover the areas of healthcare, food security, education, child protection, and access to decent work. Additionally, the delegation had the chance to visit projects managed by Monaco’s International Solidarity Organizations, such as Fight Aids, Peace, and Sport, and the World Association of Friends of Children. These projects aim to support orphans and vulnerable children through inclusive education initiatives.
