Being a caregiver means regularly and frequently providing assistance to a person who has lost autonomy due to age, illness, or disability, so that they can perform all or part of their daily activities. Sometimes it even means living and acting in the immediate environment of the sick and suffering person, which can make it difficult to take care of one’s own well-being.
Whether you are a parent, spouse, or friend, it is a daily commitment, often silent but essential for the person you accompany, which requires time, energy, and can be stressful, sometimes even causing you to neglect yourself.
If you feel the need for information, advice, and support to best accompany your vulnerable loved one, whether you are a family or professional caregiver, this day is dedicated to you.
